Various species of animals and birds, hundreds in number, are sold near the Jama Masjid market. These animals are kept in terrible conditions with insufficient food and water and often die due to starvation within their little cages that do not provide enough space for movement. The vendors in this huge market have little knowledge of the animals they sell and often fail to care for them. Rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters sold here are often infected due to poor sanitary conditions. The underfed, ill-treated animals need  proper care and healthier living conditions. 

This is a plea to the Animal Welfare Board of India. Please, find a solution to this injustice. Help these animals live a better life. 

Human life is not the only form of life worth fighting for.
