I honestly haven't been able to stop thinking about Nonnie.

I've seen a lot of cruelty over the years, but some cases stay with you long after you've done your work for the day.

This is one of them.

I'll get straight to the point: Someone poured boiling water over Nonnie. He was left screaming in agony at the side of the street, suffering alone from devastating burns until one of our AWIP-supported frontline rescuers reached him.

I can't imagine the pain he must have been in.

No animal should ever experience something so cruel.

What gives me hope is knowing that Nonnie is no longer alone.

Our rescue partner is fighting to help him recover, and we're building a legal case against the person responsible. We want to make sure this horrific act of cruelty doesn't go unanswered.
