Friend,
Our investigators are currently on the ground in the Philippines, inside an active roadside dog meat slaughterhouse. As they began documenting the operation, traders attempted to normalise what was happening.
They handed our team a charred dog’s head, burned black, still greasy from the fire, prepared to be boiled into soup. Nearby, other dogs waited, restrained, terrified. Watching smoke rise from the flames used to kill the ones before them.
This slaughterhouse is operating openly. Dogs are tied, beaten, and set over open fires while still conscious. Investigators are receiving reports of animals screaming as their fur ignites, their bodies convulsing as they burn. Others are plunged into boiling water, alive, as part of preparation.
Right now, fires are still burning. Every hour this operation remains open means more animals burned, boiled, or bludgeoned to death.
