SPONSOR ME: I'm running 13.1 miles to raise money to fund animal cruelty investigations! CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR ME!

Friend,

I wanted to take a moment to write to you personally.

For the past 12 years, I’ve worked as an animal cruelty investigator. During that time, I’ve investigated some of the most serious, complex, and organised crimes against animalsdog meat slaughterhouses, sexual abuse to animals, animal torture, and dog fighting.

It’s not easy work. It can be exhausting, confronting, and emotionally heavy. But it’s also the most meaningful thing I’ve ever done, because it saves lives. And that’s what has kept me going all these years.

Now, I’m about to take on a very different kind of challenge.

I’ve decided to run the HOKA Semi de Paris — the largest half-marathon in the world.

I’ll be honest with you: I’m not a runner. I’ve never been one. Thirteen miles through the streets of Paris feels intimidating in a way that’s completely new to me.

But I’ll push through every mile if it helps animals.

I’m doing this to raise funds for the investigations that actually make a difference — the work that leads to arrests of animal abusers. The kind of work you already make possible by standing with us, .

Every step I take will be for animals who can’t run, can’t escape, and can’t ask for help.

I have to get back to my training now, but before I do, I wanted to ask something personal.

I’m putting my body through 13.1 miles for animals. If you’re able, Friend, would you make a gift today to match that effort with the support that turns miles into rescues? Knowing you’re behind me would mean more than I can say.

Thank you, truly, for being part of this work and for standing up for animals when it matters most.

Until every abused animal is rescued,

Jacob Lloyd
