I know I’ve written to you already today, but as the evening draws in, I can’t stop thinking about Xarion.

For four years, he was trapped in a life of exploitation. Used as a breeding machine, his body pushed to exhaustion, his spirit ignored. He never knew kindness. He never knew love.

Yesterday, we shared Xarion's story, a gentle boy whose first years were stolen from him.

For four long years, he lived only to serve one purpose: to breed litter after litter on a Romanian puppy farm. He was never loved, never cared for, never treated as a living being with feelings and needs. He was simply a machine to them.

And when his body finally gave out, they didn’t hesitate. They dumped him like rubbish, broken and exhausted.

When rescuers found Xarion, he was defeated but still fighting to survive. It’s hard to imagine the courage it took to keep going after so much cruelty. But despite everything, there is a quiet gentleness in him. He wants to live. He wants to be loved.

Now he has that chance. But it will not come easily.

Xarion urgently needs diagnostic scans, including costly access to MRI equipment that is not even available for animals in Romania. And if the scans show the need for surgery, the bills will rise even higher.
