Law enforcement authorities recently uncovered a horrifying dogfighting operation run by Alex Eugene Benefield. Over 34 dogs were found chained, caged, and scarred—forced to live in fear, pain, and violence.
Benefield didn't just train dogs to fight. He celebrated their suffering. He bragged about his dog “Blueface” killing and eating five other dogs. He recorded videos of vicious dog fights and laughed as dogs tore into each other, leaving them mutilated and dying.
The cruelty didn’t stop there. Benefield forced dogs to run on treadmills with chains, wear weighted collars, and hang from spring poles to build aggression. Dogs too weak or unwilling to fight were often killed in brutal ways—shot, strangled, beaten, or drowned.
These innocent dogs lived in constant pain, fear, and isolation, all for profit and entertainment. This cruelty cannot go unpunished.
