In an undercover operation alongside the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Animal Welfare Investigations Project intercepted a horrifying transport of dogs destined for slaughter. During the operation, we saved three innocent dogs from a brutal fate in the illegal dog meat trade.
These terrified dogs were crammed into suffocating sacks, struggling to breathe in the sweltering heat. Their eyes were filled with fear, knowing that unimaginable cruelty awaited them. They were only hours away from being slaughtered.
But thanks to your support and our team’s brave work, we stopped the transport just in time. The person responsible for this cruelty has been arrested, but unless we act now, others will continue to exploit and torture more animals in this horrific trade.
Our investigators, alongside brave undercover police officers, risked their safety to gather the critical evidence that led to the arrest. The dogs we rescued are now safe, but justice hasn’t been served yet. The individual responsible for their transport and intended slaughter must face the full force of the law.
