Friend,
As you may already know, the situation in Ukraine is worsening.
The escalating conflict is not only causing human suffering but is also inflicting unimaginable pain and terror on innocent animals.
The bombardment in Kharkiv has escalated, and animals are now being intentionally targeted. Shelters are being obliterated by artillery, and civilians, clinging to their frightened pets, are being forced to evacuate their homes.
Our frontline rescuers are there when others have left, bearing witness to the horrors of war and its devastating effects on animals.
Just a few days ago, one of our partners rescued a puppy that had been shot several times by a soldier. This innocent puppy, caught up in a war it didn’t understand, was saved by the brave actions of our colleagues.
Now more than ever, our courageous rescuers need your support, Friend. They are on the frontline, navigating dangerous war-zones to extract animals and their desperate owners. Your words of encouragement can make a difference.
The situation in Ukraine is escalating at an alarming rate. Each day brings fresh reports of devastation, with the conflict spreading and intensifying.
Amidst the chaos and destruction, the plight of animals is often overlooked, but they too are victims of this brutal war. They are suffering in silence, trapped in the crossfire, abandoned, and terrified.
Our frontline rescuers and colleagues at partner organisations bear witness to this suffering daily, Friend. They see the fear in the eyes of these animals, hear their cries of pain, and feel their desperation. It is a heartbreaking reality, but it also fuels our determination to act.
Remember, your words have power. They can fuel hope, inspire courage, and strengthen resolve in the face of adversity.
We will continue to share updates on our efforts to respond to this crisis, demonstrating how your support is making a difference.
Thank you for your attention and for any support you can provide during this critical time. Together, we can make a difference.
For animals,
Team AWIP
