On January 25, a Wisconsin woman, Kielee Sonnemann, allegedly committed an unspeakable act of cruelty that resulted in the tragic and senseless death of a beloved family member, Batman, an innocent 8-year-old Chihuahua.
While babysitting a family's 4-year-old child, Sonnemann callously stabbed and suffocated Batman to death. The family returned home to find Batman missing, and Sonnemann deceitfully joined their search efforts.
It was only the following day, when the family's 11-year-old child returned home, that Batman's lifeless body was discovered buried under blankets, with a plastic bag over his head and a stab wound in his chest. This horrific act of cruelty has left us all in shock and disbelief.
Despite Sonnemann's arrest and the charges of felony animal cruelty she faces, the bond set for her was reduced to a mere $2,000 on February 9, a decision that has left many of us outraged and deeply concerned.
