Recently, a deeply troubling incident involving a beloved German wire-haired pointer named Evie came to light. While her owners entrusted her to the care of a kennel, expecting safety and kindness, the reality was far from it. 

Shocking footage has revealed the horrendous treatment Evie endured – she was tied to a cage by her neck and hind end, suspended in such a manner that her feet could not touch the ground, while also being subjected to the distress of a shock collar.

The heartbreak does not end there, Friend. The owners, upon receiving this harrowing video, were informed that Evie suffered a heart attack and tragically passed away. A subsequent necropsy indicated that the cause of death was asphyxiation, secondary to strangulation, painting a clear picture of the suffering she endured.

In response to this heinous act, a man from Minnesota has been charged with a felony count of overworking or mistreating animals under a torture provision. His next court appearance is scheduled for March. This case presents us with a crucial opportunity to make our voices heard and ensure that such cruelty is met with the full force of the law.

We are calling on the Assistant District Attorney to ensure that Evie's abuser faces the maximum sentence possible and is forever barred from having contact with animals. However, to make this a reality, we need your support.
