Gigi's journey began on a fateful day when he was found at the side of the road, a victim of a hit-and-run accident. Can you imagine the fear and pain he must have endured, lying there helpless, waiting for someone to come to his rescue? It's a miracle that he was found at all.
When we discovered Gigi, his condition was nothing short of dire. The majority of his leg had been detached, and a dangerous infection was spreading rapidly. Immediate action was necessary to save his life, and that meant amputating his injured leg to prevent the infection from spreading further.
Despite the odds stacked against him, Gigi showed incredible resilience throughout his recovery. His wagging tail and joyful spirit have won over everyone at our partner's rescue centre in North Macedonia. He's adapting to life on three paws with a determination that is nothing short of inspiring.
