Meet Bunia, a mother, who has suffered unimaginable cruelty at the hands of heartless individuals running an illegal puppy farm in Poland.
Our dedicated investigators discovered Bunia in a deplorable condition, trapped in a cycle of constant breeding, forced to produce puppies for the sole purpose of financial gain. Her pain and suffering were beyond comprehension, and it broke our hearts to witness her in such a state.
When our team rescued Bunia, we rushed her to a veterinary hospital where we discovered the extent of her agony.
She was in a dire condition, with inflamed ears, ulcers on the outsides of her ears, a severe skin condition, untreated inflammation of the eyes, a damaged cornea, heart murmurs, tumours, and dental disease.
The cruelty she endured is unfathomable, and we knew we had to act swiftly to give her the chance she deserves for a life of healing and love.
Our investigator, who was on the scene when Bunia was found, had this to say about her heartbreaking situation: "The puppy farmers have treated Bunia like she is an object on a production line. Bunia was in unbearable pain when I found her on the filthy puppy farm."
