Hi Friend,

We are writing to you today with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of urgency.

Our heroic animal rescue colleagues risked their lives to save several animals, from the war-torn city of Bakhmut, Ukraine. Despite the city being under constant and heavy fire, they were able to bring these animals to safety. Among the rescued were several families including puppies and their mother.

The rescued animals will now be transported to an undisclosed location for assessment and care. The lasting affect of their trauma will surely last a lifetime for these innocent animals. They did not ask for war but they are forced to endure its punishments.

As you have likely noticed, the news cycle is shifting focus away from Ukraine. This reduced focus means, support for the countless animals and their families still trapped in the warzone, is shrinking.
