We were pleased to see the case go to court, but sadly, the owner only received a fine and some costs towards Pedro's care. This is simply not enough.
Pedro suffered unimaginable pain and neglect, and his abuser must be held accountable for their actions. We refuse to let Pedro's abuser walk away with just a slap on the wrist.
That's why we're now bringing a second case against Pedro's former owner. We're determined to secure a harsher sentence, one that will send a strong message that animal abuse will not be tolerated. But we can't do it alone.
