We wanted to share with you the story of Palkan, a little puppy who was found abandoned on the streets of war-torn Ukraine.
Palkan was just a tiny puppy when our frontline animal rescuers found her at the side of the road. We always ensure that all rescues go to the veterinary hospital for a full examination and treatment.
Sadly, when Palkan was examined by the veterinary surgeons, it was discovered that she is unable to use her hind legs due to an autoimmune disease. We were heartbroken to see Palkan unable to walk or run like any other puppy. But we knew we couldn't give up on her, just like we cannot give up on other abandoned dogs and puppies in war zones.
Palkan requires ongoing care and treatment which is expensive for a small organisation like ours. However, we firmly believe that Palkan deserves the same chance at a happy and healthy life as any other puppy. That's why we're reaching out to you today.
Please help us to provide Palkan with a specially adapted wheelchair and the care she needs to recover.
