A few hours ago, our colleagues in the Philippines received an emergency referral in relation to an incident where a man has allegedly attacked a dog with a machete.
AWIP has scrambled an investigator to rush to the crime scene to document the case and bring it before the Provincial Court. The perpetrator must be brought to justice.
What we know so far is that the dog, known as Max, was attacked with a jungle-type machete and repeatedly slashed into his spine. This horrendous act of cruelty cannot be left unpunished.
The cost involved in investigating the case, getting urgent treatment for Max, and bringing the case before the courts will likely run into the thousands.
