Dear Friend,
Once again - thank you so, so much for everything you are doing for animals. You are their hero.
Winter is fast approaching. Across Poland, our colleagues are receiving reports of chained dogs living in “solitary confinement” at the end of a small chain in the bitter cold weather. Many reports are being received about illicit dog breeders and repeat offenders.
Friend, we are sure that you would agree. Dogs do not deserve to be chained and forced to endure a freezing cold winter. We can’t think of a crueller punishment for dogs which are social animals and just want to play, curl up with their guardians, have scratches behind the ears, and walk around the neighbourhood.
Many dogs that our colleagues are experiencing are deprived of veterinary care, adequate food, and water. Many dogs are denied the basic right to a suitable warm, clean shelter. Our colleagues are reporting dogs being kept in plastic barrels and in broken down garden sheds.
Friend, you're part of a community that is giving hope, rescue and freedom to dogs across Poland. You're part of a team that is cutting the chains.
Friend, as a supporter of Animal Welfare Investigations Project, we want to hear your thoughts about this abhorrent practice. We're reaching an important point in our fight to end the chaining of dogs in Poland, and we want to know what motivated you to join our fight and the role you will play in these vital next few weeks.
Can you spare a few minutes to answer some quick questions? Here's the first one:
Do you agree that dogs should not be kept on chains?
We look forward to hearing from you about this abhorrent cruelty to man's best friend. Thanks again for playing your part in the fight for a better life for dogs.
The actions you take today won't be forgotten in the years to come. This is a vital time, and we will be in touch with you again soon.
For the animals,
Team AWIP
