People are clipping dog ears because they think the pets look better compared to how they look naturally. An owner shouldn't have the right to decide to amputate an animal based on their preferred look on the animal. Humans get to decide if we want plastic surgery done on our body or anything similar to it just to "look better", dogs can't make that decision so we shouldn't have a right to make that decision for them unless it's life threatening and has to do with their health.
