Update- Proposed Dog Park at the Thompson Center

We’re off to a great start! We’d like to thank all of you who have already signed our petition for the proposed dog park at Hyde Park’s Thompson Center. Please see some of the comments we are receiving below: “I believe this dog park will be a great addition to the community. It will be nice to see the area cleaned up and utilized. It has been an eyesore for so long. Lets do this!” “I have lived in Hyde Park all my life, I cannot see a down side to building this park. I would love to be able to take my dog to exercise somewhere close to my house. I will travel down to Randolph or even Hingham so my dog can go to a fenced in dog park. Boston is so behind the times on this issue. Help improve quality of life for city dwellers with pets!” “I love down the street from the Thompson Center and, right now, it is a blight on the community. This group wants to do something useful with the space that will benefit the community. I cannot fathom why opponents would block this when they have no feasible alternative plan. Support the dog park!” “If people are going to have dogs as pets, there must be a place where they can run free. This seems to be the perfect opportunity, at the same time cleaning up a much neglected, yet beautiful site.” “There are so few officially sanctioned public off-leash dog parks in Boston. I wholeheartedly support this park.
