Now We Have To Save The Triple Lock (Again)!
So many thanks to everyone who has signed this petition, over 270K signatures shows how important this issue is to all low income households. We will be delivering your petition to 10 Downing Street before the Budget and hope the Chancellor will unfreeze the tax personal allowance to provide relief from the cost of living crisis.
Following the announcement by Andy Burnham that he intends to scrap the Triple Lock from 2030, ostensibly to pay for his social care plans, we have relaunched our petition to save this vital safeguard. We are furious that he intends to pass legislation to scrap the Lock in this Parliament, for which he has no mandate, while the social care it is supposed to fund will be the subject of a General Election!
