Burnham Must Raise The Tax Threshold In His First Budget!

It is now official that the top of the new state pension will be taxed from next April unless the frozen tax thresholds are increased (see article below):

But most of us are already in the tax system because of additional and private pensions. The best thing that Andy Burnham can do to achieve his cost of living promises is to raise the personal allowance for pensioners this autumn and pressure is building on him to do this.
