Recently the Wu-Tang Clan had a district in Staten Island named in their honor. This was due to the lasting impact that the music group had on the culture and history of the area. The Lost Boyz had a similar impact in their home town of  Jamaica, Queens. As of today May 16 2019, we are making the push to have Rockaway Boulevard and 132nd Street renamed to the "Lost Boyz District" in the groups honor. Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, Pretty Lou and DJ Spigg Nice legacy resonates today in Southside Jamaica, Queens where they first rose to prominence on the local music scene. They escaped the impoverished area where they grew up to become international superstars and certified RIAA Gold artists only to return home to help the area. In 1999 Freaky Tah's life ended tragically which also led to the end of the Lost Boyz as a group. Even 20 years later the Lost Boyz group is remembered as heroes in their community for continuing to give back even to this day. Renaming this district will inspire others from the area and beyond to achieve goals well beyond their wildest dreams while still remembering to return home and give back to the community.
