Today, Governor Andrew Cuomo classified New York State Parole Officers as first responders.

The governor’s classification helps strengthen our argument that we deserve line-of-duty injury pay and other uniformed benefits. 

According to PEF President Wayne Spence, he will not sign another contract unless Parole Officers receive line-of-duty injury pay.
