A Buffalo man will spend eight years in prison for driving away from a parole visit and dragging an officer with his car.
State Supreme Court Justice William Boller sentenced 39-year-old Randy White for assault.
White was in a car with a parolee in February 2018, he also had a gun, when two parole officers were there to check on his passenger on Northumberland Avenue.
He tried to drive away dragging one officer and fighting with the other trapped in his car, who shot White in the leg.
Police eventually tracked him down and he was convicted of assault and driving without a license.
