According to the Law Enforcement Employees Benevolent Association (LEEBA), the Parole profession is in great danger due to Parole Reform. NYS Parole Officers will have little to no authority to do their job. Further reducing their job to that of a Caseworker. Next will be the elimination of their Peace Officer status, which will validate Parole Officers being in a Civilian Union like PEF. If Parole Officers do not decertify from PEF and join a Law Enforcement Union, this will be their new reality.
