Another thing you can do for Onondaga Lake...

Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition so far! Please remember to share it with your friends, the more advocates for Onondaga Lake, the better. Along those lines, Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation has started another petition that is also important to sign, for the future of Onondaga Lake. If the land is slated for return to the Onondaga Nation, the DEC and EPA have to listen when they require a higher standard of cleanup than has been decided upon for other sites. If the County goes back on their word, it compromises the effort. And adds another chapter to a history of injustice that it'd be nice to not repeat! It's really simple for Onondaga County to do the right thing - they just have to include language in the resolution protecting the intention to return land to the Onondaga Nation. They vote on May 3.
