Honorable Governor Andrew Cuomo,

We are writing to you to ask for your timely help. We are neighbors of the Niagara Sanitation Landfill. Wastes from the Love Canal Superfund site were dumped there.  The contaminants have entered our neighborhood in North Tonawanda, NY. Testing has shown that the contaminants are inside our homes and on our properties. We are asking for a State of Emergency to be called. The victims of this grave injustice to our lives and our properties are in need to relocate to homes that are not contaminated with TOXIC WASTE. Please with all due respect, Governor, take action to help resolve this problem as quickly as possible. The homes we live in are adjacent to a Class 2 site, according to New York State Department of Environment Conservation, and it is a significant threat to Public health or environment - action required! Once again we ask of you to please take action. We encourage you to use your influence and powers to get us the help we so badly need. The first step is to relocate us. We are afraid for our families’, neighbors’, and communities’ health and wellbeing.
