Problem
1 in 4 Americans live with a disability, and yet only 23% of NYC subway stations are handicap accessible. All other big cities in the US are at least 63% handicap accessible, with San Francisco and Washington D.C. being 100% accessible.

In a city relying so heavily on public transportation, we need to do better. We are aware that making every station fully accessible would be rather expensive. We need to prove that there is a demand for it. Sign the petition.

Requests for the MTA:
-Install elevators at every NYC subway station by 2030.
-Keep at least one entrance for each station fully accessible and functioning on a daily basis.
-Use intercom announcements to notify customers when an elevator is out of service.
-Give accurate listings of elevators that are out of service on your website.
-Hire one staff member at every station specifically dedicated to assisting the disabled.
