Dear Lady Class Ferry supporters, We need your original signature ASAP! As you might have seen the Lady Herron is no longer on the harbour and the Lady Northcott may have only days left. We have been misled by our politicians as we were told that your signatures on change.org would be accepted. Even our local MP accepted the signatures at the rally. We now have confirmation that there are very strict rules to present this petition in Parliament. The Petition must be on the attached form, every signature must be original hand-writing, and signatures must not be pasted on, photocopied or transferred in any way. Every person signing a petition must write their full name and address in line with their signature. We have outlined this below with instructions with what you can do today. The online change.org petition has not been wasted because we are able to communicate with 3000+ people to get the signatures required. If every person gets a minimum of 10 signatures we will have 30,000 signatures that the government cannot ignore. If we have 10,000 signatures the speaker will announce it in parliament. Any amount of signatures will collectively make a huge difference and now is your time to save the character on our harbour. Ask your colleagues, friends and families to sign.
