He had both himself and his father tested, and he explained how Ancestry misrepresented that his mother — not his father — is an indigenous Latinamerican.
If Ancestry were submitting an ethnicity white paper for a research-methods class, they would fail on the following criteria:
- Random sampling
- Attempts to get groups of at least 400 to 1000 for minimum samples, including whichever control group they use
- Attempted 1:1 ratios for their groups, including whichever control group they use
- Deliberate avoidance of confirmation and selection bias
