Dear Supporters,
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who has signed this petition. In just over three days, we have nearly 250 signatures, a number that is both humbling and inspiring. When this was started the hope was simple: that young Girl Scouts in Southwest Ohio would see they are supported, and that Archbishop Schnurr would understand that many in our community disagree with this decision.
Your signatures are helping to make that message loud and clear. This overwhelming response shows that so many of us believe Girl Scouts provides invaluable opportunities for young girls. The Archdiocese’s choice to sever ties with Girl Scouts not only affects these girls emotionally but also creates an unnecessary burden on their families and their community having to face the choice of realigning their activities with a new organization that lacks the same century of support and massive infrastructure of knowledge and opportunities for their future or placing a financial and logistical burden on the families of these young kids and community at large.
With each new signature, we make it clearer to the Archdiocese that their actions have a lasting impact on young girls, parents, and our broader community. I am deeply grateful to each of you for standing with us and these girls, and for showing that this community believes in supporting their growth and dreams.
To everyone who signed, thank you. To everyone shared, thank you. To everyone who has contributed to promote this, thank you. You are making an impact, and it shows. The louder we are able to be as a group, the more likely Schnurr is to hear the cries of the community to stop this.
We’ve shared this petition with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio to show our solidarity as a community standing firmly beside them. Each signature is a testament to the support for these young girls and the belief in the opportunities Girl Scouts provides. We encourage everyone to continue sharing this on social media, helping spread the word and strengthen our message. We plan to keep pushing for awareness and change, making sure that our voices—and more importantly, those of the Girl Scouts affected—are heard.
Thank you again for being part of this. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to spread the word.
