Hi Cash Lovers,
Right now, the Albanese government is considering how to modernise payments laws in Australia to deal with the growth of the digital economy. These new laws will determine the future of cash in Australia.
Australia must follow the UK, Europe, Sweden and the USA in guaranteeing the future of cash.
The UK requires banks to ensure every citizen can access a fee-free ATM within three miles of their home. Europe requires retailers to accept cash payments.
All we are asking for is what other countries are doing for their citizens:
1) A right to local access to our cash and banking services.
2) A right to choose cash to pay for food and essentials.

What is Cash Welcome?
This petition and our Cash Welcome campaign is run by me, Jason Bryce, and my friend Bart.
Up against us is the billion-dollar marketing budgets of banks, card schemes, telcos and phone companies.
But we are supported by donations from thousands of ordinary Australians and, together, we are winning the war on cash.
I started this petition and the campaign when my local bank branch closed down despite long queues out the door every morning. We are being herded into a cashless Australia against our will just to profit the shareholders of financial institutions.

They are 60mm x 80mm and popular. Hopefully we can take this battle for hearts and minds to as many retail points of sale as possible.
