Hi, There's is a great news from PM Cares and major victory for all the supporter of this petition and Covid Orphans cause. Through this petition, our ask was a national scheme covering all Covid Orphans and have comprehensive scheme - infact, initially, we started petition with appeal to PM Care before we broad based the petition. 

There seems to two improvement areas in the current announcement  1) Benefit is back loaded with child receiving monies at age of 18 - It would be good to consider some kind of Fixed deposit or equivalent instrument at this stage to give financial security and provide inflation adjustment to the amount so, the money grows with child's age 2) No specific relief for children whose one parent or earning Parent died due to Covid. Government announces  measures to help families who lost the earning member due to Covid. However, it would have been great help if the free Education was extended to the second category of Children whose one of the parent/ earning member died due to Covid. 

This is almost like announcing Victory of the Petition. However, we will continue our effort  to drive advocacy for wider coverage. I would like to also welcome your suggest on next steps - Pl. give your suggestions in comments section of petition.
