Around 60% of waste in my dustbin is empty milk packets. Hence, I think milk packets are a major contributor to this non-biodegradable plastic going in the landfills. With numerous more milk brands (dairy start-up) coming up everyday in india (who have the same Modus Oprandi of selling their milk in plastic packaging), I feel sad as nothing is being done or thought about the effects on environment. We as consumers can be a little sensitive and do our bit. We can ask all milk brand (Amul, Mother Dairy) big or small to start delivering their milk in Glass bottles (as their Social Responsibility). That ways in a long run the decision to shift from plastic to glass shall be socially and economically viable to their business. Let’s join hand and send the message to maximum people. More people we have greater impact it shall have.
