Ramin Hossein Panahi is an Iranian political and human right activist who was arrested on 23 of June 2017 and after enduring 200 days of physical and psychological torture and solitary confinement. Following only a brief court appearance, (a few minutes) and without any legal representation, he was sentenced to death on 23 January 2018. On the 19th of May, the Iranian authorities notified Ramin Hossein Panahi of his imminent execution date in 20 days’ time. This has been scheduled to take place after Ramadan.
Execution is a brutal and inhuman punishment. Living and having the right of a peaceful life is a basic right of any human being and no individual, organisation or government can deny this right, especially because of their ideology, opinion or belonging to an ethnic group
we need your urgent and immediate support to stop the execution of Ramin and all the other prisoners who are detained because of their political, ideological and social ideas or activities
