Venison to have country of origin labeling

All we can say is "WHAT ABOUT BEEF?" Thank you to each of you who have shown support for clear and transparent labeling of the origin of beef! To see that USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is amending COOL for venison only shows that there is need for the same sort of labeling on beef. We ask that you would share this petition to help show that consumers and cattle ranchers want Country-of-Origin Labeling. "The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) proposes to amend the country-of-origin labeling (COOL) regulation to add muscle cuts of venison and ground venison to mandatory COOL requirements. AMS is issuing this proposed rule to conform to amendments to the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (Act) as mandated by the Agricultural Act of 2014 (2014 Farm Bill), that added muscle cuts of venison and ground venison to the list of covered commodities subject to mandatory COOL."
