Pictured - Chase Christopher on his first day of 3rd grade. I wish everything was picture perfect but it is far from it. It has been almost two months since I stepped onto AA flight 2370 where I was asked to deplane for my attire. Two months since I was embarrassed, humiliated and stripped of my dignity. Two months since my body was over sexualized and my son demoralized. Two months since the NAACP Legal Defense Fund contacted me and communicated their concerns to American Airlines. Two months since American Airlines apologized and failed to follow that apology with any reasonable changes to their policy or corrective action. They have failed to do so because this is BUSINESS AS USUAL. I intend to fully expose American Airlines for their harmful, discriminatory and consistently unacceptable actions by filing a lawsuit. They will no longer hide behind the Montreal Convention allowing their employees to degrade passengers with a cloak of arbitrary outdated protections. Since I have shared my story I have received NUMEROUS messages of injustices towards passengers so in addition to my lawsuit I will make sure the voices of those who have been silenced are heard. TIMES UP American Airlines. Its time to live up to your name.
