I now have 1,317 signatures on this petition, but still, I have not yet received a response from Congress. This is unacceptable. And what's even more unacceptable is that most of my other petitions have not reached the 1,000 signature milestone. Even more unacceptable. I am counting on your support to eliminate gun violence in the United States forever. I believe mass shootings includingschool shootings are preventable. As an important reminder to everyone, I am fully supportive of Amendment II (the Right To Bear Arms), but as explained in my petition, we need more loopholes in place. Every right and freedom has a loophole. And the Right To Bear Arms needs more loopholes to prevent further tragedy. I can understand owning a gun if you live offgrid in the Alaskan wilderness to protect yourself against natural predators, but in a major city like Detroit, it is not necessary to own a gun for any reason. In fact, in some major cities in the United States, it is in fact, illegal to possess a gun for any reason. With every signature I collect, we get closer to ending gun violence in the United States.
