Many of these individuals possess valuable experience, skills, and a strong desire to continue contributing to society, yet, they find themselves locked out of the job market due to an arbitrary age restriction of 35 imposed by many companies.
The reality is that society benefits tremendously from a diverse workforce, one that includes people of all ages. Older employees bring with them a wealth of experience, maturity, and a strong work ethic. They can act as mentors, sharing their skills and knowledge with younger employees, fostering an enriched, collaborative work environment. By extending the hiring age restriction to 50, we are not only giving these capable individuals the opportunity they deserve but also enriching our workforce and economy.
Statistics show that the Employment-to-Population Ratio for individuals aged 35-50 is significantly lower than younger cohorts, despite the fact that this age group is often in its prime in terms of capability and experience.
