Freedom & Rights For AnimalsGlobal, Canada
Jun 7, 2026

In BC Canada 300 Ostriches were shot to death in a mass slaughter on a private non-commercial farm property where cifa had no business being, as a matter of "culling," a year after the birds were already culled and no signs of virus. This devastated people worldwide.

Across Canada innocent breeders are put of business, their property threatened and loving breeders treated like criminals with no say. Business sabotaged & pets put on cold cement floors with minimal contact in shelters. Illegal seizures and rights violated. Evidence ignored. Leaving a controlled market and decimated industry. At risk of losing pets across the country.

Yes, the same laws are in VietNam where pets taken as orphans and domesticated since birth are taken from good, loving homes and left to fend for themselves in the jungle. Even when payment for license was given. These laws must change worldwide. Pets and caregivers have rights! It's up to caregivers to protect what we own, not government.

Privatize this industry and make shelters transparent for their actions. Keeping different levels of the industry open and functioning means no overcrowded shelters and less euthanasia from correct homing. It will also stop the black market of Rescues.

We are grateful for the signatures! We can go to Parliament now but more signatures would be great. Please share this petition. Many thanks. 🙏💗
