I am writing to officially declare victory and close this petition. The fake "Giant Purple Teddy Bear Sunflower" seed listings have finally been removed from Amazon.
While this petition was vital for highlighting this cruel scam publicly, behind the scenes it took a hard, exhausting five-month battle with Amazon to force them to take these down. What kept me going through every piece of corporate red tape was the memory of the terminally ill woman whose heartbreaking review spurred me to exposed this fraud, and a fierce desire to protect other vulnerable people from being scammed.
The woman who bought these seeds hoping for a beautiful "last hurrah" may never know what her review inspired, but you cared enough to sign, and I thank you for it. This long battle has ensured no one else will fall victim to this specific scam on the platform.
