Amazon Release Woody Allen's "A Rainy Day in New York"

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

On behalf of Woody Allen fans all over the world, we humbly ask to please release "A Rainy Day in New York." We suggest it be made available to rent or buy on the streaming service, Amazon Prime Video. Of course, we would welcome a theatrical release as well. In the name of art, freedom and the simple concept of "innocent until proven guilty", we feel that keeping this movie on the shelf is simply the wrong thing to do.

Woody Allen has been charged with no crimes and the accusations against him are vastly regarded as false, totally contrived. Stopping this film from being seen by the public only serves to hurt his good name even more. He has contributed as much to society as any artist before him and will be looked upon in the future the way we look at Picasso and Michelangelo now. Please don't make the mistake of being on the wrong side of history by tarnishing the legacy of one of the most important artists of our time.

Amazon started out selling books, not banning them. There are books for sale on Amazon right now that were banned at one time for one reason or another. We know now that banning those books was wrong. How is banning this film any different?

Please reconsider your stance on this matter and let Woody Allen's fans see this movie. We feel the real crime is censoring this film and not letting the public make up their own minds. To many of us, his films are a source of great joy and inspiration. We look forward to his movies every year and hold them close to our hearts.
