response to my email

hey guys, so i got a response to my email, in which i had listed all of the reasons that i found in the comments and all of my own and Mr.K has already sent me a response here's what he said:

"Dear Maraike,

Starting a petition shows your intellectual maturity and  good citizenship. Your thoughts are well organized.  Your writing skills are to be commended as well. You can be proud of yourself! You brought to my attention valid points and I am willing to reconsider my decision.  For me to alter my course, however, I need a solution to the underlying hallway congestion.  I invite you now to brainstorm an acceptable solution. As you and other students consider an alternative solution, here is the necessary data my office has gathered:

HOMS hallways are not as wide as those at TOMS. The TOMS building design has 5 hallways for student use while HOMS has only two. HOMS does not have any 7th and 8th grade hallway pod areas, as they do at TOMS, in which students may gather. Instead, 7th and 8th grade students tend to gather in the hallway creating a significant obstruction to traffic flow. In addition, the doors connecting the 7th and 8th grade hallway to the 6th grade area allows only one student at a time, which significantly slows student movement. In particular, during hours 4, 5, and 6, with close to 300 students moving into a hallway for passing time, over 150 additional students are simultaneously trying to get through the crowd to reach the cafeteria while at the same time as another 150 students are leaving the cafeteria. Add to this congestion, a significant number of TOMS students are entering/exiting the building. I look forward to a conversation with you.

I think it's a success that he is open to the idea and taking our thoughts into consideration, his points are valid too, can you all help me brainstorm a solution and comment your ideas in the responses below thank you so much we are getting closer to success everyday

update for the update my mom came up with a great idea, so you guys know how there is often huge crowds in the halls of socializing students which is the main problem. So the idea is once the bell rings everyone goes and puts their backpacks by their seat in their next class and then could come back into the halls to socialize with out their backpacks until passing time is done. Let me know what you think of this idea and also if you have other ideas. I have responded to the email by thanking him and telling him I am getting feedback from all of you and that we will present a proposal with our ideas sometime next week
