After hearing feedback from students and understanding the staff’s concern about too much movement during lunch, here’s a compromise that could actually work for everyone:

We propose a “Three Trash Times” system during lunch.
There would be three short times (early, middle, and near the end of lunch) when students can get up and throw away trash. Each window would last just a couple of minutes, announced by a teacher or lunch monitor.

This keeps things organized, reduces mess and smell, and doesn’t add extra work for adults. It’s a fair middle ground — students get to stay clean and comfortable, while movement stays controlled.
