8/24/23 UPDATE!

UPDATE ON SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY IN ST. MARTIN PARISH!!!!!
I got a call from my district representative, he was unable to attend the last schoolboard meeting. He told me that the next meeting on 9/6/23 he added it for them to vote and he has a few members backing him up. The meeting starts around 4 p.m. and they discuss financial matters first and then vote on topics after.
Now IF this is passed it may not go into effect this year because the year has already started but this is for future years!!
Even if your child is younger this will affect you in the later years!! Don't be dismissive to this issue! Many admin have tried fighting this for years! Lets use our voices as parents and guardians!
If you are a parent of St. Martin Parish and agree that students in 6th grade and up should wear shorts (ESPECIALLY IN THIS EXCESSIVE HEAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING) I urge you to attend this meeting!!! Speak up! Use your voice!! We are making progress!!!!!!
