First Utah, then Massachusetts, and more and more locations are becoming more accepting of polyamory. The most recent one was from New York, where Judge Karen May Bacdayan has ruled in favor of a polyamorous gay throuple/triad when after one of the men’s husband died, the landowner attempted to evict the other two for not being married. 

If laws are changing and becoming accepting, then surely a huge social media platform like Facebook can change a relationship status to also be accepting.
