The Unvictorious End

I've put off posting this, but we lost.  

Glacier Peak HS has accepted G. And she'll be able to start tomorrow (only a day late, so that's not too bad...she won't have to sit through all of the boring first day syllabus talks 🤣).  They are so lucky to have her there!  And I am glad that it worked out.

But I'm disappointed for my kids & our school.

And more than anything I'm bitterly disappointed and ashamed of my district.  Pat Hegarty and  Mukilteo School District really chose poorly and acted disgracefully.  

And once again Mukilteo School District loses out on positive opportunities.  
To let justice prevail.  
To show that you are backing your employees.  
To practice compassion.
To teach kids that we are accountable for our decisions.
To love and welcome a stranger.
To put people over policies.
To show that you can admit your wrongs and show flexibility in fixing them.
To chose enrichment for students over finances and politics.

Well.  Andiamo avanti.  It's done.

The host Mom will still be meeting via zoom with Pat Hegarty today.  If there's anything worth reporting then I'll keep you updated.
