Allow iPhones to be downgraded to iOS 18

I own an iPhone 16 Pro Max that is now running iOS 26.5 dev beta 4, and I am facing significant issues. Despite having a battery health at 93 percent, my device struggles to perform efficiently. The situation is similar for many other iPhones, including my partner's iPhone 15 Plus and 14 Pro Max. The current operating system updates, while packed with new features, often result in reduced battery performance and overheating issues that users like us have to endure.
In recent updates, Apple has introduced a new feature called "liquid glass," which claims to enhance the user interface but has significantly altered the look and feel of the iPhone we grew accustomed to. Many users, including myself, find the new interface less intuitive and aesthetically displeasing compared to previous versions. Furthermore, there is currently no option to disable this feature or revert to a user interface that's familiar and comfortable for long-time users.
Apple's strict no-downgrade policy locks users into updates that may not suit everyone's preferences or the performance capability of older devices. In contrast, allowing users the choice to downgrade to a version like iOS 18, or providing an option to disable specific features like liquid glass, would empower users to take control of their device's performance and interface.
It's crucial for Apple to listen to the voices of loyal customers who've supported the brand through numerous product cycles. By offering more flexibility in software management, Apple can ensure user satisfaction and strengthen customer loyalty.
This petition calls on Apple to allow iPhone users to downgrade to iOS 18, or provide an option to fully disable liquid glass and return to the old user interface. Let's ensure our devices serve us well by rallying for these essential choices. Please sign this petition to support iPhone users in regaining control over their devices and improving their overall user experience.
