Thank you to everyone who showed up in person or wrote in an email yesterday! The Village was pleasantly surprised by how much support there was for backyard chickens. It seems like they are hesitant but willing to do more research on the topic in regards to the change. They will be reaching out to other towns to see if they are experiencing issues and complaints regarding backyard chickens. 

The best thing you can do is continue writing supportive emails to the Village. Include facts or data you think would be helpful.

Ask neighbors to write emails as well. Spread the word of the petition and come in person to the next meeting with something to say for the record. It should be in a couple weeks. I will post an update when I have more information.
