This is the response I received from the university:
"Dear Marlie:
Thank you for your message and for reaching out on behalf of your peers. Your drafted solution was well thought out and makes clear your disappointments about lost opportunities caused by the global pandemic. It also underscores your passion for building a global mindset.
We’ve exhaustively reviewed all options and have had to conclude that it just isn’t going to be possible to create and staff new Preview courses designed for upper-level students. Delivering top-notch global experiences at scale is a complicated process, and current Preview applications are over capacity. Unfortunately, that means there is no possibility of creating additional courses at this point as our limited resources, travel arrangements, and implementation timelines were finalized many months ago.
We stand ready to support your ongoing interest in global engagement through GFS, semester-long study abroad, or international internships through our Intern Philly program.
I wish you all the best as you continue your studies. Thanks again for reaching out."
At this point, there is nothing else I can do. Thank you all for your support, and thank you for helping me in this fight to try and get us what we deserve.
-Marlie
